Private Education Loan Consolidation
A story about the positive side of a private education loan consolidation.
I have always dreamed of being a doctor. Never anything else. It has always fascinated me and to have the chance to work with children was something that I knew in my heart would be very rewarding. As I walked down the aisle to receive my high school diploma, I knew that I was already way ahead of my classmates. I had done all my research on schools and their requirements. I was accepted to the school of my dreams and had saved enough for all of my schooling. I was ready to go. All of a sudden I received a notice in the mail from my school that all tuition and fee costs were going to skyrocket because of the economy. I was now only going to have enough money for my first year. I was scared and nervous. I looked into getting a job nearby but, when I found out what the pay was I knew that it was not going to work. The hours that my schooling was going to need would consume all of my time. Next, I spend hours online looking into government grants. I filled out a lot of applications but I was rejected for all of them because of different circumstances. The last option I had was to try and get a private loan. I was not eager to follow this path but I needed something to be able to start school. With each bank and group that I looked at, they gave me a rate that was not favourable. I finally chose two loans that looked decent and I hoped that when I graduated that I was going to get a job that would take care of them. It made me work even harder. As the years progressed I ended up having to take out one more loan but I was flourishing in my classes and was very confident that everything would work out. The year that I graduated the economy got better. All the rates dropped and I snatched up the chance to get a private education loan consolidation. Not only was I able to get all of my loans consolidated into one but the rate was low and so I had it paid off in a little over two years. I am living my dream now working with children treating them and seeing their eyes light up knowing they are going to be okay.
